Grey Granite Flat Marker
This grey granite flat marker is crafted from solid natural granite and measures 12 x 24 x 4 in. It is supplied by Granite & Paving from our yard in Wylie, Texas, to families, funeral homes and monument dealers across the United States.
Grey granite is a classic, even-grained stone in a soft mid grey. Engraved lettering shows in natural contrast, it hides dust and weathering well, and it fits the guidelines of almost every cemetery.
About this design
A flat marker, also called a grass marker or flush marker, sits level with the ground. Many lawn and memorial-park cemeteries only allow flat markers because mowers can pass straight over them. They are set on a gravel or concrete bed, need almost no upkeep and are an affordable, dignified way to mark a grave. Browse all our granite flat markers to compare sizes and colors.

- Help from real people: we answer questions about sizes, cemetery rules and lettering before you order.
Engraving and lettering
This grey granite flat marker can be engraved by us. Use the Add laser engraving option on this page to design it online: choose a layout, type the names, dates and epitaph, and see a live preview on the real stone. With engraving the total is $550. Our designer emails you a proof to approve before anything is engraved. If you prefer, you can also buy the stone blank and have your local monument company letter it.
Cemetery requirements
Every cemetery sets its own rules for memorial size, type and installation, so please check with the cemetery office before ordering. Some only allow flat markers, while others accept uprights and slants up to a set height. You can read more about the history and styles of grave markers in this overview of headstones.
Pickup and delivery
Pick up free of charge from our Wylie, TX yard, near Dallas, Plano and McKinney, Monday to Friday 9 am to 2 pm and Saturday 10 am to 1 pm. We can also ship your grey granite flat marker anywhere in the US by LTL freight on a pallet, with residential and liftgate delivery; the freight cost is calculated at checkout.
Caring for your memorial
Granite needs very little care. Rinse your grey granite flat marker with clean water and wipe it with a soft cloth or brush a few times a year. Avoid bleach, acids and wire brushes, which can dull the polish. With this simple routine the stone keeps its shine and the engraving stays crisp for decades.
